Race report by Kevin Nielsen
On Sunday the 27th August it was time for the fourth round of the Danish Nationals.

This time the race was held in Tollose, only 45 minutes away from Copenhagen.

The track is nice with a good flow and normally also good grip without any kind of prep.

We arrived to the track the day before, so we could find the right setup for my XRAY T4 and also gain as much laps as possible.

The weather was nice and sunny most of the day, so we had the best possible opportunity to test a lot.

Sunday morning we arrived at the track very early and just before we got out of the car, it started raining. For the next hour it was shifting between dry and wet. At the same time there was almost zero wind, so it took quite a long time, getting the track dry again.

The race was delayed for half an hour because of the slippery track, so skipped the practice and went straight to the first qualifying round.

In the first qual I had no grip in the rear at all. So I took it very carefully and ended last.

Second qual, the grip was starting to come up a bit and we also made some changes to my car, because of the missing rear end grip. This one I ended as third. Same story with the last qual round, third again. My car was fast enough, as I had the fastest lap in Q2 and Q3.

For the finals I had secured a starting position as P4, so could just try to get as much out of it as possible.

My starting position was a bit difficult because my tires picked dirt up from that position, making it hard to push from the start.

First final was not so good. Had a moment with S?ren Boy Holst where our cars were side by side and accidentally my car rolled, so I lost that battle and ended 4th.

Second final was much better. Again I had a tough but good battle, this time with VBC driver Frederik Brol?s. Just half a lap before finish, I managed to dive inside of Frederik to secure 2nd place.

In the third and last final, the two guys in front of me had a battle that went wrong and gave me the chance to pass and secure another 2nd place putting me in the overall 2nd place for the day.

Very pleased with the way my car worked once again.

In two weeks time, I will participate in the last outdoor race this year and this will at the same time be the title decider.
